Around winter time, there's nothing better than being cosy at home whilst it quietly snows outside and you watch it from your bedroom window. To make the indoor ambiance as perfect as it can be, I have a few essentials. 1) Good hot chocolate is imperative. Is it even winter if you haven't cracked open the cocoa? 2) A good cosy jumper that is both stylish and warm (beauty and function for winter fashion is important!) and finally 3) Candles. An array of any aromas which you find most delightful. Today, I am bringing you a post on one of my favourite candle companies in the UK, St. Eval Candle Company, who are based down in Cornwall. Their hand poured candles are made using special blends of only natural mineral and vegetable waxes and have fantastic longevity, which is always a good thing as you can never have too many candle-lit baths!
Their new Garden of Eden collection has a fabulous Fig scented candles which come in beautiful, embossed gold leaf pots which would also make the perfect gift for a loved one or yourself! In the New Year, we all need to refresh and rejuvenate our homes so these candles are a perfect way of doing exactly that. You can order them now and receive them in the New Year. The pots are so classically elegant with subtle colour hues, and work so well in rooms where the Danish art of Hygge home styling has been adopted. This is the vibe I have created in my room and these candles look simply stunning as part of the interior décor now.
This collection is inspired by the healing power of plants and the collection seeks to explore their sensual beauty and evocative nature. The soothing wild Fig scent is delicately fruity and is a wonderfully complimentary smell that really enhances any room and uplifts the mood. I think candles are a great way of relaxing and unwinding and in such a wonderful scent too, I'm truly delighted with this collection. The small Fig candles burns for approx. 35 hours and the medium candle for approx. 40 hours.
The gold marbled Inspiritus pillar candle from their Christmas Collection is a true festive favourite. I adore this scent as it really is Christmas encapsulated in a candle. With it's rich and oh so aromatic mix of spices and essential oils, from clove, nutmeg and cinnamon. It also burns for an incredible 90 hours (that's a whole lot of Christmas aroma!).
I have a small tin version of the Inspiritus candle too from last year, if you haven't read that blog post you can read it here, and it is such a lasting scent. If I want to release the festive fun, all I have o do is lift the lid off and my room is transformed into Christmas land in 1 minute! It's amazing. (and yes I do keep it on my windowsill all year round because who doesn't like to feel like they live in Christmas Town 12 months a year?!) Shop the Inspiritus Pillar Candle online. This candle I find is a wonderful way to warm my home and create the perfect Christmas ambiance. These candles have been hand poured, marbled with a gold effect and then wrapped. Perfect as both Christmas gifts or for New Year's, it's a true delight for the senses, (much like freshly baked cookies which is another aroma that is festive at heart) and it is a smell that makes me happy!
Which of these candles do you most love the sound of? Are there any Christmas aromas which evoke fond festive memories for you? Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Bilgi x
