A Sophisticated Summer Fragrance Edit with 'Eden Perfumes'

 

When it's the summer, so many aspects of our beauty and wellness regimes ultimately take on a change. From the makeup we wear, the outfits we style and the fragrances we choose to use, everything becomes a little lighter, a little more whimsical and a touch more fruity, floral and refreshing. It is such a well known fact that scent and the power of smell is an incredibly strong thing. It is the sense which is most closely linked to memory and a familiar aroma can be comforting, reassuring and uplifting. Today's feature is in collaboration with Eden Perfumes, my favourite fragrance company and the makers of the nicest scents that I have tried. All of their perfumes are carefully crafted with natural, plant-based ingredients and they are proud to be 100% vegan and cruelty free. Eden Perfumes kindly selected some wonderful summer fragrances for me from their vast array of perfumes and I've been trying them out to see how they compliment the season, my outfits and mood during the warmer summer months. I'll be talking about the beautifully harmonious fragrance notes of each perfume and painting a picture of what kind of outfit I feel that they would suit and compliment the most. The selection I was lucky enough to receive includes number 540 in a large size bottle and numbers 17, 475, 265 in a gift box.

 

 

No. 540 - Blanc De Soleil

this scent is an oriental, floral scent which is also unisex. It is powder soft, sweet yet spicy and oh so indulgent! I think it's sophisticated and would work wonderfully on those summer evenings abroad when you're going out for dinner and drinks and a walk along the beach as the sus sets. Eden Perfumes describe this perfume as follows:- 

  "This fragrance is an unexpected, sultry and addictive solar floral scent. It evokes the feeling of being on a private island where summer lasts all year - this latest creation unapologetically exudes the endless pursuit of sun and luxury. The top notes combine spicy notes of cardamom and pink pepper with a lovely pistachio sprinkle & bergamot. Floral sensuality of ylang-ylang, jasmine and tuberose are the heart of this fragrance, adding carnal intensity. The base is a bed of bitter almond amber and creamy coconut. Styling This Scent: Summer Glamour with a Soft Touch

I would wear a richlu coloured and ornately patterned summer tunic with gladiator style sandals with this fragrance, as the spicy notes compliment a bold summer style. Alternatively, a more smart outfit could be a little black dress dressed for the season with flat-form sandals, gold accessories (a timeless classic style), tousled hair left down and a statement red lip. 

 

 

 

This fragrance has top notes of bergamot, Cardamom, Pink Pepper, Pistachio, middle notes of Jasmine, Tuberose, Ylang Ylang and base notes of Amber, Tonka Bean, Benzoin and Coconut. A sensual mixture of aromatic natural ingredients which combine to make the ultimate soft yet strong summer fragrance.

In the gift box were three delightful fragrances all of which were hand picked for me to be worn this summer.

 

The first is 'No. 265 - Silver Mountain Waters', which is also a unisex, aromatic fragrance. It smells water fresh, clean, and warm with a masculine edge. The citrus fruits in this fragrance help to make it both uplifting and invigorating.

 

Styling This Scent: Casual Yet Chic Summer Outfits

I think it'd work really well with a floaty linen shirt dress, tan sandals and a big sun hat. Let your sun kissed hair blow in the summer breeze and embrace those beachy vibes!

  ♥ Caring For Animals: A History of Eden Perfumes ♥

There are so many products to choose from today, it can make it hard to know which is the best in terms of both quality and animal welfare and sustainability too. Eden Perfumes make beautiful perfumes which are dupes for your current favourites, as well as blends which you will not have ever experienced before. The Ethos behind Eden Perfumes

Eden Perfumes are a small family business which sells worldwide, however they will not sell/deliver their perfumes to countries that conduct animal testing.

 

Similarly, their caring ethos means that they buy all their ingredients from Europe where animal testing has been banned for more than 5 years, and they will never buy any of their raw materials from outside Europe.

 

All Eden Perfumes' fragrances are IFRA certified safe and Non-Toxic. (They do not use synthetic preservatives in their fragrances either.)

 

 

In the gift box, No. 475 is one of my favourites and is the vegan, cruelty-free equivalent of Neroli Portofino by Tom Ford. It is so fresh and light which is what I usually look for in a scent, especially in the summer. I love to wear perfumes which are refreshing, zesty, fruity and natural. Another fragrance from the unisex range, No. 475 is a beautiful blend of Bergamot, Mandarin Orange, Lemon, Lavender, Myrtle, Rosemary, Bitter Orange in the top notes, African Orange Flower, Jasmine, Neroli and Pitosporum as the middle notes and Amber, Ambrette and Angelica as the base note ingredients.

The third and final perfume which is in the gift box is No. 17 - Light Blue. This natural, vegan take on the Dolce and Gabbana fragrance is so enlivening and fresh and is another of my new favourites for sure. I adore how zingy and refreshing it is.

 

Styling This Scent: Day or Night, it's always right

It'll be the perfect summer scent to spritz on after a shower before getting dressed in a cute summer dress with wedge heels and a day bag. I'm thinking drinks in the sunshine with friends and this fragrance will be a match made in heaven!
