A Summer Spa Day at Wynyard Hall & Lakeside Afternoon Tea

 

 

A spa day is one of life's luxuries which is a true diamond amongst the days you think back on when you reflect upon your year. And if that spa day also includes afternoon tea (one of my favourite things), well, that is a day to remember well and truly! I was recently kindly invited to the stunning Wynyard Hall for a beautiful summer spa afternoon and afternoon tea which was totally sublime. Not only did I get to experience an uplifting aromatherapy massage, it was also the most beautiful day of the year so far, so sunning out on the terrace was an absolute must.

So to start this post, go and grab yourself a nice big cup of tea, go sit in your comfy spot and let me show you all that Wynyard Hall and Spa has to offer.

 

It'll come as no surprise that this amazing selection made me very happy indeed. Tea and cake is always a winning combination.

 

The fruity scones with strawberry jam and cream were delicious too, the classics always are my favourites. (p.s. if you're trying to think of amazing, thoughtful gifts for a loved one, I would highly recommend a spa day and / or afternoon tea. It's a blissful opportunity to spend quality time together.)

 

Tea by the lakeside = a summer's day well spent

 

 

We had a vegetarian afternoon tea and it was delicious! Coupled with this amazing view, it was a fabulous time to just sit back, relax and have a catch up over tea and cake. (Shouldn't all get togethers be spent this way?!) We had afternoon tea on the terrace at the spa. Wynyard Hall also have a beautiful spa conservatory which looked delightful but the sun was shining and it was the perfect chance to catch those afternoon rays so we sat outside. The spa music was playing too which really relaxed me and eased away those daily pressures that we can all feel. (You can also enjoy afternoon tea up at the hall if you are attending purely for a dining experience.)

After tea, we had an hour before our treatments so we made the most of it by enjoying some much needed sunshine.

 

My treatment was a Full Body Massage using Temple Spa products including Breathe of Life. The aromatherapy was a true delight and really left me feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and calm. I absolutely loved the aroma of the products that were used as they were fresh yet botanical in a way that naturally lulls you into a serene state of being. My guest had a My Kinda Skin Facial which is specially tailored to restore your skin back to its ideal state. She had the Dual Act cleansing and toning treatment, followed by Breakfast Smoothie Exfoliation and the Quench Mask which is to add back the necessary moisture and hydration to the skin and leave it looking and feeling supple and oh so smooth! You can check out the treatments here and you can book in to have a Full Body Massage or My Kinda Skin Facial here.

Looking out over the lakeside. There are loads of ducks and at this time of year, ducklings at Wynyard Hall which is so adorable to see! If you need a day of total Zen and to unplug from the day to day, this is honestly the place for you. We had an amazing time!

 

 

Sunbathing isn't just for abroad. By a country house is also a fantastic choice.

We had a wonderful day at the beautiful Wynyard Hall Spa.
