Coffee & Catch Up at Flat White

Today I met up with one of my friends from high school who I hadn't seen for a year. That's the thing when you are studying at university, you're so busy with work and all your old friends are studying in different places across the country, it's not always possible to see each other very often. To mark the occasion, we went shopping to look for a graduation dress before heading to one of Durham's best loved cafes, Flat White, which I was eager to try out, as I've heard many good things but was yet to experience this fabulous place first hand.

Clockwise from the top: White Hot Chocolate with cream and marshmallows, Mocha with latte art.

I like my coffee like I like my guys, smooth, sweet and arty! ;)

If there's one thing that really sets a café apart from the rest of the competition, it's the ambiance and overall atmosphere. I particularly like the somewhat rustic, homely vibe that Flat White has. It's the perfect setting to chat away for an hour or two, which is exactly what we did today. In my opinion, it definitely lived upto it's hype among the Durham student crowd.

Sunflowers on the table to brighten your day.

Have you been to any hidden gems in any cities across England? If so, I'd love to hear about them! And if you're ever in Durham, I can highly recommend a visit to Flat White.
